A good glass railing draws very little attention to itself. It preserves the view, avoids unnecessary vertical lines and still feels solid when you touch it. That combination of transparency and confidence is the quality we look for.
CONTEXT
Visual lightness does not mean the structure can be lightly considered.
Glass type, laminate thickness, restraint method and support spacing depend on geometry and location. An exposed balcony, an internal stair and a poolside barrier do not work under the same conditions. A universal “two sheets of 8 mm glass” rule without context is therefore not a design.
The bottom junction matters just as much. A concealed base channel can look extremely clean, but it needs enough build-up depth, a reliable structural fixing and proper water management on an external terrace. If those requirements are ignored early on, a minimal railing quickly acquires visible cover plates and compromises.

What we check for a glass railing
Height, run length and the actual slab or stair edge available for reliable fixing.
The laminated safety-glass build-up and how the barrier behaves if one layer is damaged.
The visibility of channels, posts and fixings so the technical solution matches the architectural intent.
Drainage, floor finishes and waterproofing on external balconies and terraces.
SYSTEMS
Choose the balustrade around its fixing method and the geometry of the slab edge.
A recessed base shoe, point fixings and posts require different glass, embeds and waterproofing. The right approach depends on the slab preparation and the degree of visual transparency the architecture needs.
